The DRB-KAIST SketchTheFuture Research Center envisions the future of advanced industries enabled by 3D sketching + AI/VR. It focuses on: 1) acquiring foundational 3D sketching technologies for maximizing creativity and productivity of experts with generative AI and immersive VR; 2) creating killer showcases that visualize the value of new technologies in diverse fields such as robotics, proteins, and mobility; and 3) cultivating the next generation of designers and engineers capable of integrating cutting-edge technologies in a human-centered way toward developing and leveraging state-of-the-art tools for research.

DRB-KAIST 스케치더퓨처 연구센터는 3D 스케칭 + AI/VR을 바탕으로 첨단 산업분야의 미래를 제시합니다. 이를 위하여: 1) 생성형 AI와 몰입형 VR을 활용하여 전문가의 창의성 및 생산성을 극대화하는 3D 스케칭 핵심 원천기술을 확보하고, 2) 로보틱스, 프로틴, 모빌리티 등 다양한 첨단 분야에서 신기술의 가치를 가시화하는 킬러 쇼케이스를 생성하며, 3) 인간 중심적으로 첨단 기술을 융합하여 고도화된 디자인 도구를 개발하고 연구에 활용하는 미래 필수 인력을 양성합니다.
